Good quality, too tight

I liked the design of the balaclava. It was fairly tight for its size and didn't have much play, which could be a side effect of the material used. Worked well at the track over the weekend but I'll look around for another that's a better size fit.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I have some doubts

Great for accessories

Whilst I'd rather not have your "K1" display in CAPITAL LETTERS I can only give 4 stars otherwise it's 5 stars if that's important to you. I turned it inside out and since it's under the helmet/cap I don't really care about the stitching (which is very visible when inside out).

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Minor issues

Not good for men

Bought, tried on, bought something else. Of course it works. But the seam is right in the middle of your nose and mouth and needs to be pulled up unnaturally to cover your nose. Not comfortable at all or thick enough. Spend a little more money for something better (there are other options that are a few bucks more expensive and MUCH better)

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

NO one size fits all

Too small! Probably more suitable for young people. I wear a size XL Shoei RF1200. It looks like a quality balaclava but the seams press against my forehead and trying to get the opening under my mouth only adds to the pressure. The gaiters are so short they barely protrude from under my helmet. Tucking under a jacket is not an option.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

It was WAY too little. The material was VERY.

It was MUCH small. The material was very thin and the picture was wrong. It barely reached below my neck. Not as long as in the photo. The design was weird too. It hurt me when I closed it or tried to pull it down. Based on other reviews I'm wondering if they sent me a smaller size. I wear a big helmet. It hurt to wear it. This can be normal for a child or someone wearing a small helmet.

plain, closed toe

I got this for sand dune quads. It did a great job of keeping sand out of my nose/mouth. I could wear it with my nose/mouth closed or my face open (just adjust it before you put the helmet on). It's made of thin cotton material (almost like a t-shirt). I didn't feel too hot; just enough to wick sweat (or, in this case, protect your head from nasty municipal helmets). There is a "K1" label on the neck of the mask (as shown in the picture) but this can be easily removed. After putting the mask on

Balaclava Rating good for hats and caps

Love it! I've had them for four months now. This balaclava is a great face mask. Holds up well and don't worry about it falling off or being peeled off. Another bonus, for me anyway, is that I ordered it thinking I would get light blue as shown in the picture, but it was royal blue and just the color I needed. The front flap is long enough to be tucked into a shirt or jacket and stays on with no problem. Not sure if that's how it was made, but it's a bit tight for my head and face. I have no…

Overpromised, not delivered

Whilst technically a balaclava it really isn't designed to be worn under a properly fitting helmet. I wanted to wear a cotton balaclava with my autocross helmet to protect the balaclava from sweat and dirt. Although they are well made (flat seams) and fit well, Nomex gets too hot and itches when it's hot. They are also quite expensive. This K1 balaclava was inexpensive, came in a variety of colors, and reportedly had flat seams. Unfortunately it doesn't deliver. As others have said, it's on the
