These scissors are very handy and very sharp! I am a canvas maker and have 3 pairs. I always have a sharpened pair ready. I can cut marine grade Sunbrella acrylic, vinyl, and screenprint with ease! I love my Kai!

I'll admit right away that I don't sew, but I wanted to have a large set of scissors on hand. I saw them in a photo of an Australian artisan making the ties I wear. They're superbly engineered, terribly sharp, and well-equipped. I can't tell you how they work with fabric or how they can be used throughout the day, but maybe I'll delve into sewing to find out.

These scissors cut very well. Even better than my Gingher tailor's scissors, which I've owned and loved since 1982. I switched scissors based on reviews because the weight of the scissors became more tiring and difficult to use with age and reviews noted that they were much lighter. They're lighter than my ginghers, but I've found these scissors to be longer than I can comfortably handle. I'm only 5'1" and have a very small build including my arms. Failed to load media. We are an upholstery shop that almost exclusively uses Kai scissors. We usually buy them at our local sewing shop, but on a whim I ordered this pair for one of our Revain guys. Almost immediately I noticed some problems: the tips of the scissors are not pointed, but rounded. And the scissors just won't cut the material through the center of the blades.
