Poor Quality - Scissors

It doesn't match the quality of my other KAI scissors. Cheap blades are not sharp. Barely cuts the thread.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Cord shorter than others

Untested Quality Kai

I am so disappointed in you. I love the Kai brand but they are terrible. They don't trim the threads properly and require multiple cuts to cut the sewing thread.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Has Defects

Although these scissors are made very famous.

Although these scissors are made by a very famous Japanese company (Kai), the scissors are disappointing. It's not as sharp as expected and the tips are thick and not as sharp as I expected. Sharp and thin tips help to penetrate under the seams more easily.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Save money and avoid these

I really expected more from this brand. I bought a pair of 10 inch scissors and they are amazing. The first pair of scissors didn't cut. I sent them back and received a second pair. They cut but are temperamental and you have to hold them properly or they won't pull the thread. And they do not cut very well, but almost tear the thread. I wouldn't buy them again.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Disappointing

Let me start off by saying I love Kai shears, you just can't beat them. That's why I was so disappointed with these scissors. If you put the thread all the way in, they might cut your thread the first time or two. If, like me, you think the tips allow you to cut thread in small spots or close to the fabric like it's intended, this isn't for you.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket
