Very cute but too small for my KALIK HAMster

I have Campbell's dwarf hamster named Toast He's a little bigger than average but not a giant But he's listed as a 'small shelter' And he is a small and small smaller hamster even too big His butt got stuck trying to roll over

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Remove the bell and the hook!

Everything is fine except for the hook and bell. This is a dangerous hazard for the hamster. I found her with a ball in her cheek pouch within 1 minute of being placed in her cage and then the sharp hook was left open. When purchasing this item, remove the bell and hook.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Expensive

Great hamster house

My two hamsters love this house! Just a warning, make sure you have a cap on your case before inserting it. My 20G tanks didn't have it and one of my Roborovskis climbed onto the roof and somehow escaped. Luckily I found it, but it was very scary! It's my fault the tank doesn't have a cap. The house is a little tricky to clean, so I just use a paper towel dipped in vinegar water to just wipe down the surface of the wood.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • compatibility

Small for a Syrian Hamster

I bought this for my Syrian Hamster. It's small for her breed, but she still fits through openings and she enjoys climbing on it. I thought she would nest with it, but mostly she just plays with it. The wood it's made of is a bit flimsy, so I'm not sure if she'll destroy it later. But it's super cute. I think it's better for something smaller like a dwarf hamster, although mine still likes it.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Too small for a Syrian hamster

We have a Syrian hamster BABY and it didn't fit on the slide so we removed that part. It can fit in the house, but it doesn't climb up the sides because it can just climb in without climbing up. and he would rather build a nest in his bed than squeeze about in it. Our hamsters are burrowers. not in their instinct to live in a house. maybe gerbils would be different? And will it fit better? In addition, a wooden house is not ideal. difficult to clean/disinfect.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Dangerous for dwarf hamsters

First of all, this is a piece of garbage and dangerous for dwarf hamsters. My 6 year old insisted on finding out why someone put a slide in the hole because he says it wasn't. This bell came in a box with nothing to connect it with the hole made as shown in the pictures below. Eventually his hamster tried and his neck got stuck between the slide and the house he was scratching, my son started crying "mom his head is stuck", the nightmare is definitely back

Pros
  • All good!
Cons
  • Not everything fits

So much fun with gerbils!

This is by far the best product I have ever bought for my gerbil! He just loves it! It comes fully assembled except for the bolt that engages and the bell which I haven't bothered with. The only thing he didn't like was the foil, but that's okay because you can easily remove it. It's not a chew guard but I don't care because I just want him to have some fun and if that means he chewed a little then he only chewed a little on the bottom door, the one with the pink one roof protrudes. and a…
