🌸 Premium Kaytee Bedding with Powerful Odor Control Review

My rats have this material Rat lice/mites. My rats were clean, daily habitat cleaning. Baths every week then I get these nasty things and after 2-3 days I realized they had rat lice/mites. Now I have to treat them and additionally clean and disinfect them. If you insist on buying this product, please refer to my review. Freeze this material for 2-3 days before use, it will kill any parasites that are inside. I wish I knew that before using it on my rats.

After using a few other bedding products I decided on this one because of the price and odor elimination. My hamster was as healthy as could be and a few days after the exchange his eye was infected and closed. This was unusual for a vet and I tried cleaning his eyes several times but to no avail. Honestly, I hate these sheets. We have 2 male rats. I always clean her cage thoroughly to remove all debris before adding new bedding. But this bedding is just awful! After a few days the cage started smelling WORSE than ever. I figured it might be their grass hut or hammock that stank, so I tried to remove those items of laundry and tipped the cage. nope A few days later the cage stunk again. I bought this bed for my rabbit as soon as it came out. I was hoping that it really was what it says on the box. It doesn't absorb well (remains WET, in fact). Cleaning the cage and litter boxes was like scooping up soaked, soft paper. Not odorless. There is no way it will last 14 days without a smell, more like 1 or 12 hours. Sheets every 2-3 days and it still smelled TERRIBLE so again I had to change it daily which defeats the purpose of buying these sheets. I give 2 stars for the softness.

Doesn't fight odors at all! It actually seems kind of worse. We have a guinea pig and after clearing out the cage completely I used this bedding instead of our regular Carefresh. After 2 days the cage smelled like barn. The consistency is similar to tissue paper. So not only does it smell, but it doesn't withstand moisture at all. It also appears to be flying around the cage.
