🌾 Kaytee Hay and Grass Feasts Review

Hay goes fast! I just bought a J-Feeder to replace as a lot of hay falls through. I liked that you could add salted gum, but my chi still doesn't like them.

I was hoping this would help keep chinchillas out of the hay. Unfortunately, my chin only jumps on it to eat the hay. Helps keep hay off the entire bottom of the cage.

This hay rack is THE PIT! It doesn't stay attached to the cage no matter where I put it. The rabbit can move it easily. It is also difficult to fill as the opening is very narrow. Makes a mess every time. Holds no more than a handful of hay. More pain in the ass than anything.

I like the quality of the material but the alfalfa fails which I tried to avoid. I thought I could fill it up and it would take a few days but most of it ends up on the floor. I didn't want a closed type of wood as it would be chewed, so I went with this type. It hangs slightly, and only a rabbit manages to pull it off completely.

Love it we have 2 of these It will hold our rabbit hutch or cage (depending on if they are indoors or outdoors ) clean and will hold a ton of hay if you stuff it right. Attached is a photo of it loaded with oat hay, but we also feed garden grass and timothy hay from this hay to the rabbits. Having room for a salt rock is a bonus. I wouldn't fill it with hay like the seller advertises because rabbits or guinea pigs can't reach it well and it doesn't hold as much.

Let me start by loving these hay feeders. I know my pigs would love to play in the hay, but it's unsanitary for them to eat what they've soiled. For all the reviews that mention making a mess: hey, get out of the cage no matter what you do. small animals can be so dirty. For those who say it doesn't hold up or might be dangerous, you need to make sure you put it on properly and lift it up so they can't get inside. In any case, you should raise it a little higher, because that's a good exercise.
