Enhanced Kenwood KFC-835C 40W 3.5-Inch Round Speaker System Review

Unfortunately I could only use one in my application because the magnet was too big for one side of the dashboard. I wish they were lower.

The mechanic who installed them on my '68 Cadillac was happy with them. The package arrived 1 day early which allowed me to return the car for the weekend. All is well.

This is a fantastic replacement for standard speakers that will work with the factory head unit. They have a fairly clean sound, good bass, loud and good quality for the money.

I bought these to replace the original dash speakers on my 87 cutlass. They sound ok and since I won't turn the volume up to 11 they work fine with a RetroSound stereo.

Good price. Well made, but a speaker of this size is not suitable for a serious audio system. However, they are great OEM replacement parts and will do the job more than adequately. Just don't turn your stereo on all the time and they will serve you well.

Purchased to replace the original Cutlass dashboard speakers. Nothing fancy, just a standard replacement, no amps. Dash because of that lip. You will not tear. MAYBE the Malibu/Camino/Monte dash will work. But Cutlass and Regal aren't. Very disappointed. I can't say anything about their sound.

I bought these speakers to replace cracked, sun bleached dash speakers in my 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. They do well for this purpose when paired with a stereo (such as an original GM factory stereo) that doesn't push too hard on them. They are louder than the original speakers; However, an adjustment to the damping control compensated for this. Bass is very weak (not surprising given their size and cost). Good value for money.

i don't know what to say about these speakers. I bought Kenwood KEN-KFC6994PS speakers to complement these little ones. But the speakers are so loud I can't even hear the small speakers to know they're even working. So I think they work. I bought these for my Dodge Avenger, they didn't quite fit. I had to do a bit of trimming and trimming to get them to fit but they managed. that's pretty much all i can say. I've added some photos for reference.

The sound of these speakers is four stars; really nice, but not exactly impressive. I have a 1984 diesel Volkswagen Rabbit and it's almost impossible to fit speakers into the dash cutouts. it's all about good 3.5" speakers that really fit. If I cut out some metal for the speaker terminals they just fit in. With a pretty big amp and a really good pair of 6X9s in the back making most of the sound deliver they fill in really well especially when I got the 7 band EQ set right. EQ is optional but…
