Keyestudio Camera Module Raspberry Model Review

As far as I can tell they are indistinguishable from official Foundation cameras and only cost 1/3 the price. I bought six of these and they all work great. The Keyestudio Raspberry Pi camera module was well packed without any damage. A ribbon cable is included, so we can connect this camera module to Raspberry Pi 3 2 B B+ A+ and Raspberry Pi Zero V1.3 model. Took two for motioneyeos and connected them to a standard canakit. The heatsink pushes into the back and prevents the case from snapping into place. I sanded it down, you may have to remove some messages or flip the top, but it will work. Image quality isn't great, as expected, but is more than adequate for most situations. I also used some of that amber electronic tape to protect the camera from the heatsink to prevent a short from the bottom of the camera board touching the heatsink.

For a while I was disappointed that this camera was too far from the point of focus. I use it to time lapse 3D printed objects and the camera is less than a foot away from me which blurs the object while the opposite wall is in focus. Works great with Raspbian. Color quality isn't as good as the v2 camera, but that's forgivable when you can get it for less than half the price. On the other hand, they deliver a better image than v2 in low light conditions. Difficult to use with a Pi Zero case.
