This is exactly what we need, but the small part where you hook it on the loop is sooo thin and fragile, but I think it's not the seller's problem, it's rather the problem of the manufacturer.

This key fob is prone to breaking in the ring mount area due to the thin plastic part. These replacement shells work great. I recommend you put in a new battery as it is open and the fob works like new again.

Worked fine on my Chevy Colorado. The only issue I had was that the small piece of metal that makes contact with the battery was not installed properly and I didn't notice it right away. Once you figure that out, it works great.

Great replacement for a worn key fob We just replaced the inside of the old fob with new rubber on the new Mach and they have a new rubber grommet We have the batteries replaced because they were already open, they connected together and worked and looked like new. I have bought the same one before and decided to buy it again. The horn activated slightly on the first one I bought. So far I haven't had this problem with them even though they are exactly the same. The horn on them is still a little touchy but not as good as the first one I bought.

Genuine GM key fobs last approximately 10 years, as do other Toyota key fobs. (We keep our cars for a long time.). Eventually the holes they attach to our key rings wear out and we lose one of them. Other interchangeable projectiles only last about a year and a half. Maybe that's why they sell them in 2 pieces. These replacement caps are much better made than the GM Original Equipment caps. The original GM caps I had only have a very thin plastic loop on just one half of the cap for the metal ring to attach to. It's a thin piece that easily cracks and breaks after sufficient wear and use, so buy these as spares.
