Worked great with keyless entry systems

The only key to my truck broke. The dealer told me they can only program them if I have two of them, I bought two of these. I paid $5 to have a locksmith cut them and $65 to have a Ford dealer program them. Saved me a pack. Another Ford dealer I originally called wanted $180 for the key and $120 for the program. This is definitely the way to go.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Faulty

Save time and money, use Keyless2Go.

After cutting and programming it works exactly like the keys that came with my 2012 Ford Explorer. I had some programming issues, but when I called Keyless2Go, a friendly customer service rep patiently walked me through the process until the key worked. Saved 1/2 the cost of finding one of the dealers and the time and hassle of making an appointment. I recommend Keyless2Go.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Works great on 2013 Ford Edge

Key came in one day. Looks the same as the original Ford key but without the logo. I took it to Home Depot to have it cut but they couldn't do it for this guy so I went down the road to a local locksmith. They cut it in a minute for $2. Programmed using the 2 button method in less than 5 minutes and it works great. Google programs the Ford key fob to receive instructions. Very happy with this key, hopefully durable as my original one fell apart and the release button was broken.

Pros
  • Fun
Cons
  • Has some issues

Key turns truck on but buttons don't work

Key cut and program with headlights plus bulbs and buttons don't work. It turns on the truck and also works if you put it in the keyhole and turn it to open the doors. But the buttons don't work. I used to have a factory key made and programmed by the same place and person and it worked fine. It was my spare key and had to be programmed. He installed a new battery for the Revain key and found that the Chinese keys work perfectly in terms of key operation. At least it fits in the ignition andโ€ฆ

2011 Ford F150, works perfectly

Key works perfectly and programming is a two step process. First, Forscan shows the code that the key is not programmable / not stable to read. Picked up the key from the dealer to have it cut and then used Forscan to program the key. At least one key must already be programmed. The process took about ten minutes and the key is programmed perfectly. The second step is to program the actual locking/unlocking part of the fob.1. The vehicle must be electronically unlocked with an RKE transmitterโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Does 2 out of 3 things I expected

The key seems a bit cheaper than the original keys and the unlock button has 2 clicks when you press it instead of 1 click, as it should be. However, I expected it to work once programmed. To program the key you have to put it in the ignition and turn the ignition to the ON (do not start) position, which means you need metal. The key blade is physically cut to fit existing keys. This means that the key can no longer be returned. That was step 1. Done. Step 2 was to find the correct programmingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
