Good product, good price.

This product is easily programmed to open/close doors. I borrowed a programming device from a friend's garage to program the remote control key. Later I found out that you can buy a programmer (cheaply). Everything works. In addition, the metal part of the remote control key purchased from a retailer will become discolored. This button has not changed color.

First find a place to cut and install the chip.

There's no point in having innards unless you can somehow get a chip that's hard to find, let alone someone who can carve the key. (Honda isn't named - in which case you just buy everything from them.) The programming just opens the doors and starts the engine, but doesn't fire. I just changed my old boys and retrospectively would have bought the case only. If you don't have the old guts, this remote control is a good place to start.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Boring Packaging

Our stock Honda Pilot remotes were dead and the back cover was broken (where the screw holds them). The buttons themselves, as well as the front cover, were fine (albeit worn). I bought these to steal the back cover and transmitters and put them back in the stock key case. I've read reports that the ink on the buttons rubs off quickly, so I also kept/moved the OEM buttons from my original remote. Works great, an inexpensive way to get OEM keyless locks working again without having to cut a new…

Works well with some disputes.

Yes, this works very well for my 2007 Honda Pilot. Here's what I did: I took the "inside" out of this key and replaced the "inside" in my original key fob. This way I didn't have to make a new key for my car. The only downside was that the new "guts" didn't fit snugly into the old key fob, but with careful maneuvering I made sure everything fit into place and now the key looks perfect. I had to force one of the buttons to a slightly different location, but everything works fine now! Just search

  • Crumpled

Product fits my 2007 Honda Pilot. There were no instructions but there was a piece of paper on the website on how to program the remote to lock and unlock the door. I wasn't able to figure out how to program this device using the instructions on this website, but I found a more helpful video on YouTube. This is only the first day so I will report back if there are any problems in the future. Right now I'm thinking about getting a second one for my spare key. I didn't have to cut the key as I…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • I will add later

I bought these because the fob on my original key died after 10 years of daily use and the casing around the fob had a crack. After receiving the key with the new key fob, I took it to a local locksmith who has a laser key cutter. The key was cut and tested within minutes. It was the perfect match. Back home I transferred the immobilizer chip from the original key to this new key. I found a video on You Tube explaining how to program the fob and after a few minutes the fob was programmed and I…

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

My 2007 pilot key transmitter burned out so I bought it to get a radio module. A working key consists of two parts. The first part is programming the key fob to lock/unlock the doors and activate the panic button. The written instructions are correct. They tell you to switch the ignition key between two positions. There is a video on YouTube showing where to find these positions on the ignition switch. Although they are clearly marked, watching the video made them easier to find. The process is
