This unit was actually half the size I expected it to be. This makes winding tough.I also don't really like the alarm. it smashes a hammer back and forth for maybe 10 seconds before it runs down. I would be happier with one that went a little slower to allow the ring to be heard, which would also let it ring longer. I would also prefer an attempt to tune the bells to slightly different frequencies so that it might "beat". (This might be achieved through different mountings?) Never-the-less, it…

Quite hard to wind, and not loud enough for me. I'm hearing impaired, and don't wear hearing aids to bed. That's my feedback.

This is a good solid accurate alarm clock. It is smaller in size than I expected but the alarm is definitely loud enough to wake you up quickly. I haven’t used an alarm clock in over 30 years but I’m starting a new job and didn’t want to sleep too late and not get to walk my dogs before going to work. We would all be disappointed.

If you have arthritis this clock isn’t easy to use. Too stiff. Maybe a good clock for a younger person. I got what I paid for, just didn’t get what I wanted. I need a 5” face and this one is only about 3”. I’ll gift to someone that will appreciate it. It is cute.

This mechanical alarm clock is exactly what I need, my only problem is this clock is tiny and difficult to use the settings on the back. I’m happy with my purchase, I would recommend it.

I thought this little clock was really cute, and from the description, it seemed like just what I wanted. WRONG! It's a piece of JUNK! It never kept the correct time, which was the least of it deficiencies. It was very difficult to wind. The little "banger" in between the two bells was so loose, it was constantly moving to the wrong position so it didn't strike the bell, which was obviously a huge problem. A bit disappointed. For the price I expected better quality and a reliable alarm. Initial use of alarm indicates it is unreliable and may not always ring at set time. Perhaps it is new and needs a 'break-in' period.

I have had many travel alarm clocks over my traveling years, so seeing this one on line with Best Buy was irresistable. I have missed a few connections in years when the battery dependent gave up the ghost in the middle of the night, and I missed connections as a result. This item was a find that I expect will be a treasure since it is purely mechanical and not likely to have a permanent demise with no warning.

I thought it was a lot bigger than the actual product. This fit in the palm of my hand. My mother needs it in the nursing home, it is way too small to see from across the room.

It ticks.but you can't hear it. It's got "glow in the dark" tips on the hands, but you can't see it in the dark.Winding it is difficult, there isn't enough room around the key to wind it in a full rotation.Perhaps if I had child sized fingers.Not worth returning so I'll keep it.

Don't like the size, it's too small. And the alarm didn't ring loud enough and it don't last long either That's my review!

Purchased this as we needed a mechanical clock without battery. Works promptly for few months and after the return window closes, this starts to slow down. And so the return window also closes and am stuck with a defective piece. To be fair, it did work the initial few weeks and hence 2 stars for that.Highly recommend NOT to buy this defective clock.

I admit, I did not pay attention to the dimensions. It is not like the old Big Ben wind up clocks of yesteryears. It looks like a toy. It is cute and does seem to work well, however. I was just very disappointed by how small it looks - very small!

This clock can lose up to five minutes of accuracy per day. Plus the alarm will go off up to 20 minutes late depending upon where the hand marking the alarm time points. It is almost impossible to get it to alarm on time.The instructions for the clock tell you this, not the description. It is right. I tried to get the alarm set to go off on time with five minutes later than I set it for being the best I could achieve. I suppose awakening on time is not important in China.?

It works, but it is small, hard to turn wind up, but it does work it is loud. Just wish it was bigger and I should of tead the description.

Alarm does not ring. I Just hear a heavy click once. If I am awake. Replaced the 1st one. Second one works fine. The clock needs to be manually wound, which can be a hassle for some people!
