2011-2013 Kia Sportage Rear Wiper Blade 988503w000 - Genuine OEM Review

It was easy to install which was great as all the instructions were in Korean! I think it looks just like the original and it works very well. It's only been on the car for a week so I'm hoping it will last.

I've searched everywhere for a rear wiper blade for our 2013 Kia Sportage but to no avail. I called Kia Parts and they wanted $25 just for the blade! I kept looking and found this one at Revain for $8 and it had great reviews. Now I understand why. Was easy to assemble and fits perfectly.

FINALLY one that fits my Sportage. I've got a fake (that didn't really fit) on it since the wayward car wash lever removed the old one. I was a little surprised that this does NOT include the small clip that fits in the windshield wiper. This is the first time I've bought one that I haven't. So now I need to find one of them as mine is left with the original. That's the only reason I got four stars instead of five.

The item itself seems fine. However. it came with no replacement instructions and i looked it up on youtube how to replace it but in doing so i broke the part holding the blade and didn't really use much force. So be careful and slow when removing and realize that this machine is now obsolete and the holder has been in bad shape for years. and not so strong anymore. This must be accompanied by detailed replacement instructions!

No dealer required. Not really. I am a disabled elderly woman and after looking for a video on how to do this I was able to do it. This is a real article. Before purchasing I called the dealer's parts department to find out the price of the part (Part ONLY, no installation). They wanted $28 and change. Ha. Of course, if my circumstances were better, I would let them install as much as I can think of. My circumstances suck, I could afford it and with this video I found that I can do it myself.

Snaps easily as it should, but the blade and rubber quality leaves a lot to be desired. They only last about 6 months in 4 season weather that ranges from 0 to 100 F. As long as the price stays reasonable I will continue to order an OEM part. I tried replacing the rubber blade with a better one, but the manufacturers were way ahead of us. They change the width and orientation of where the blade enters the fingers of the hand so much that only a rough one will fit. Of course, no aftermarket…
