🔦 Kichler Braelyn 9.5-inch 1-Light Wall Sconce Clear Seeded Glass in Classic Pewter Review

Description says butter bronze but it's a flatter black. Disappointing. I bought a bronze oiled ceiling light, it looks nice because they aren't close together so I doubt anyone will notice. Looks very nice with Edison style backlight.

We bought two of these Kichler wall lights for the smaller half of the bathroom. They replaced wall lights from the 1950s or 60s. Kichler sconces look stunning with Edison's softly glowing lightbulbs. This simple change almost transformed the bathroom and the quartz sink didn't even get installed! Good quality, good price. Very happy. One of our favorite easy purchases!

Bubble glass spoils this lamp. It's a great light but as the base is chrome you can see the bubble glass in the reflection of the chrome and that just isn't right. If the glass was clear I would most likely keep it. The bubble intensifies as the lightbulb is turned on and off. If you buy this you must love bubble glass or you will hate it.

Ordered 2 wall lamps, very attractive, easy to install. Only gave 3 stars because one of the sockets was off center and touching one side of the frame and fitting snugly against the other. Therefore, the light bulb hung off-center. I was about to go back, but I grabbed a screwdriver and managed to move myself around a bit, working from the open side and wiggling the screwdriver - then made up for the difference by lightly fitting the whole fixture to the wall turned.

Having replaced a similar, brand new $50 unit with this one, I am thrilled. The original unit was flimsy and almost impossible to install and poorly designed This thing looks like it's made of solid brass (it's not, but it's STRONG), it was easy to install thanks to the clear instructions and simple assembly design, and it will look after the DO NOT move installation has 3 holes for set screws to go through - you won't break it by over tightening!

While I like this lamp, note that the glass dome is closed at the bottom making it very difficult to change the bulb. Since the bottom of the sphere is closed, the glass sphere must be removed before inserting the bulb. The mechanism for attaching the ball to the lamp is quite "cumbersome" and, in my opinion, very difficult to perform even with a slight injury to the fingertips. Totally impractical design but I like the way it looks so I'll keep it. Update 3-11-17: Unfortunately the chrome base

I give these 3 stars because they were a bit different from the other 3 we ordered from the lighting store. We bought the Original 3 for our stairwell and then decided to do the same for our dining room. The two were identical, but they were different despite having the same light.
