Kichler 8110NI Flush Mount 3-Light Fixture in Brushed Nickel Review

This light is perfect for our dark hallway so I'm still happy with it. It looks great with three LED warm light bulbs. Little did I know wiring would be so painful. I had to try three different types of wire connectors before I got a connection that needed to hold together. Installation is also a two person job if you don't have practice. Make sure you have help.

It was quite difficult to mount it on the ceiling. There's several inches of insulation that you have to drive screws through to get it into the bracket and you can't see what you're doing. I'm not a pro to set this up, a lot of swear words were used. But when I finally installed it, it looks great. Three light bulbs really help brighten up our kitchen. I hope this lasts because I never want to install it again.

Great light for the price. I needed an inexpensive lamp that would brightly illuminate my sewing workshop. With three bulbs it's nice and bright, much better than before. It's a very light and cheap feeling, but since I won't be carrying it around it serves its purpose as a work light that doesn't irritate the eyes. It's a little lower than I thought. I'm short so it doesn't matter but I thought it would be 2 inches shorter.

Believe it or not, I ordered this lantern because the knob (the ornate look that holds the globe to a pole) did not match some of the lanterns that I own looked identical in my basement. I couldn't find this ending by doing a search; or at least not in "matte penny". The closure of this lantern is more like a "rounded cap". That doesn't mean YOU won't get bright images (Revain IS KNOWN for such bugs), but be aware. Otherwise it's a good light.

The screws for fastening the lamp to the ceiling/socket are too short. There are two screw holes that you insert the light into and then twist to fix it. VERY BAD DESIGN!. On the way it is almost impossible to see the propellers in the light. I ended up taking longer screws and shining the flashlight through the holes in the base of the flashlight, looking into the side of the flashlight to find the holes. The problem is that the insulation makes it difficult to find the screws. DO NOT BUY THIS

One of the things I worried about was not checking that it would fit where my old light fixture was. I replaced a similarly shaped fixture that used compact square socket fluorescent lamps rather than replacing its ballast. Seems like these things are very standard after all, it wasn't a problem.
