I'm sure they work great except they don't fit in boxes. I swap out all my detectors so I figured these adapters would save me some time. It didn't work the first time, I thought it was just a custom sized box but they are all the same. There is simply not enough space for adapters and cables. So I retrieved them and reassembled myself. Super easy and saved me some money doing it. Don't worry about that.

I ordered these with my new Kidde detectors when I needed to replace my old Firex wired detectors. Based on 17 year old Firex detectors (model FADC) they literally saved hours by not having to hook up 12 new harnesses. A little tip though is to mount them on the back of your new detectors first so they are set up and ready to go.
