Very good quality flash drive. Unlike other brands I've used, this drive works great. I've tried MANY other high capacity USB flash drives and they NEVER worked. This means that after spending an incredible amount of time backing up my computer, about 90% of the data was unreadable. Don't waste your money buying those CHEAP flash drives, it's a ENTIRE waste of your time and money. This KINGSTON disc was a bit more expensive than other JUNK discs, but the KINGSTON disc works GREAT. As well as…

Quality control issues

I uploaded my data and put a 32GB Kingston DataTraveler Kyson on my keychain. THE NEXT DAY, I discovered the flash drive's interior was loose in my pocket, no longer encased in metal and unusable. There is not the slightest damage to either the chip or the case and the drive was inserted into the USB port exactly once. I have a lot of flash drives. I've never had a case of someone regurgitating their guts spontaneously. It was a waste of time and money.

Cons
  • Not sure

Not much faster than USB 2.0

I like all metal flash drives so they don't fall off my keychain. This one is not entirely metal. The black end of the key fob is made of plastic and is simply crimped. Extremely slow copy speed for a device claiming to be USB 3.0. Nowhere is it as fast as Samsung or Sandisk.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • It makes me angry

Poor design compared to old DataTravelers

Pros: It's a flash drive. It's 64G and it's not expensive. Cons: I bought this flash drive because I previously bought two Kingston DataTravelers circa 2011 and I liked the build quality. They were made from a single piece of metal (see photos comparing old and new version) and were almost impossible to break. They were perfect for putting on a keychain and taking with you on the go and I was hoping to have the same experience with the new ones. Unfortunately this is not what I received! The…

I like the small size though.

I like the small size but the USB connector doesn't match my USB ports well. It's too tight and I feel like I'm putting too much pressure on it and the connector might break. Writing performance is poor. What happened to all the good USB sticks with high write speeds?

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Almost never
