Now I have 8GB AND it boots into Windows. but?

I had two 1.75cm tall, I was fine with that because my original two are the same in my system. Oddly enough, when I added these two to my original two, I got a DDR2 score of 667 in POST, not the 800 I was expecting (must be something with the ASUS M3N78 PRO MB). But still it only reads 8GB in POST AND it boots into my Windows XP Home with no problems but Windows only sees 2.5GB of RAM. (Windows problem, MB problem or both?)

Requires computer design skills update

Worked well and was designed for a board I previously purchased but I feel like the boards and memory are changing too much if they are just a family of support processors. Any change in memory speed or mobo usage means that the computer you JUST BUILT is now considered yesterday's design, and at the same time the change (in my opinion) does nothing to make the next build better. However, this increases the cost of upgrading or even simple repairs due to minor overheating issues. I built thisโ€ฆ

Improved reliability

4 modules of 1GB connected and loaded immediately. These are Kingston's finest modules, several notches above the original modules produced since 2005. My memory performance increased to 5.4 in the Windows 7 performance rating. They are quite expensive but worth the small extra cost. The customer has also grouped all the modules in such a way that the manufacturer. date fits. I'm very happy with the modules and would recommend them to anyone upgrading an old desktop. My computer is a Sony Vaioโ€ฆ

Best memory upgrade in computer components

I have a not very old Dell computer, Dimension 5150 with 1GB RAM, I wanted to upgrade the memory to 4GB because my computer was slowing down due to too much paging activity. Visited Dell website to buy 2GB memory, the listed price was 84$ for 2GB MEM chip than when searching in Revain which was about 25$ for 2GB MEM chip. Huge price difference ---- about 70%, so I ordered 2x2GB from Revain. The memory came quick and quick. Easy to install RAM and my computer runs better and faster. The onlyโ€ฆ

Good increase in system performance

Good memory - everything works as expected. The computer can't handle memory any faster and it's working great now as I've been able to double the system memory.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

Mismatched Sentences. for computer components

This review is more about how Revain handled the order, not necessarily the product itself. I ordered 2 sets in one order so it's 4 sticks. When the order arrived, one set was full-size DIMMs (1.25 inches tall) labeled "Assembled in Taiwan" and the other set was half-size (1.75 cm tall). marked "Assembled in China". The packages were marked with the same model number and specifications. I just hope the actual specs match. I will of course install the appropriate kits in the appropriate slots on

  • Useful beyond its intended purpose

Has breathed new life into computers and accessories

I bought this memory to boost an old AMD Athlon 64 5200+ system up to 6GB for Windows 8 64-bit. This old device now compares well to my i5 for web browsing and business tasks. The Revain partner shipped the item immediately and the post office exceeded the estimated delivery date. I am happy. BTW the Athlon 64 5200+ lacks the manual needed to run Windows 8.1 so I'm limited to 8.0 which works fine.
