Excellent sharpener for knives and scissors. A rough slot is great for sprucing up your abandoned, dull knives. The thin groove alone is sufficient for regularly sharpened knives. The grip is good and your fingers are at a safe distance from the knife blade. The lower part of the sharpener is rubberized and does not slip when the knife is pulled.
