The best grill cleaning tool ever. For real.

This is the absolute best grill cleaning tool because it has it all: bristle brush, rotary cleaner and scraper. I threw away all other tools.

Pros
  • weight
Cons
  • is embarrassing

I have bought two of these since May. The wire pad on the first one started to loosen after the first few uses. I had to throw it away after 10 uses. I only bought it a second time because other KitchenAid grilling accessories hold up well.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Only available in white

Nice scraper that wears out too quickly

I'm not sure if it's the design or the materials or something but it works great the first 5-10 times but then both sides are a mess. This fits my Kithchenaid BBQ and other tools, so I'll probably buy a new one every season. Wish it held up better though

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I don't remember

Avoiding this is an expensive mistake.

The thing is junk. Lasted one use before the mop started falling apart. Also, the brush is nylon so it melts easily. My wife didn't realize it wasn't metal and used it like a regular wire brush, the bristles melting instantly. In addition, when using a scraper, the head hits the grate. Bad design all round.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Can I add something?

Read the instructions, friends!

"Only use the nylon brush on cool grilling surfaces or damage will occur." I thought the bristle brush was metal, but it's actually tough nylon. So yes, it will fall apart pretty quickly if you use it on a hot grill. I've always cleaned the grill grates while hot, but that's mostly done for cleaning a cold grill, period. So it won't last very long after you've used it on a hot grill. The extensive use of plastic in the head also says a lot about how long it will last when used to clean a hot…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Better than any of the wire bristle brushes

First off, wire bristle grill brushes shed those bristles and you better be careful not to get them on your body. Second, the instructions for the Kitchen Aid brush (on the label) say one side is for COLD BBQ only. They will melt on a hot grill. Third, the stainless steel side is great for Kitchen Aid's round stainless steel grids. Just be careful not to snag the loops at the ends where the vertical bars meet. You can "pull" the strand out of the pad. But it will still work if you cut the train

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best
