great for beginners

There are 16 scarf designs and lots of tips especially for beginners so this is a great book to start with. My favorite scarf is the last one that uses the double reduction technique to shape diamonds and it's very well explained. Many different threads listed, as well as alternative threads for many models. I give her one star because she offers beads as decoration and has a photo of it but nowhere says how to do it. I can't believe I'm knitting these patterns!

If you know how to knit, purl, add and subtract, but nothing else (like me), give this book a try. I can't believe I'm knitting in a fan pattern. I played with the lace pattern and got a little better with each try. This book is perfect for me. I can take basic knitting skills and turn them into something beautiful. Any yarn can be substituted as I only use synthetics. Also learn "Fair Isle" or pattern knitting. I found the instructions and pictures very clear and helpful. I agree that this…

An exciting book for all knitters

I found out about this book because I wanted to knit a scarf and was looking for ideas. The book has an attractive cover and when I flipped through it at a local store I found new stitching and some really interesting scarf patterns. It also contains some very useful information suitable for all knitters.
