great but problem with metal tips coming off

I really like these sock knitting needles. They are a good length and I like the in-between sizes. the needle body feels warm like wood, but metal tips are easier to knit with, especially on these smaller sizes when the wood cannot be made sharp enough, and generally wooden needles in these sizes (0, 1, 2) are too thin to be strong. however, after just a week of use, one of the metal ends separates from the body of the needle. Needle tip loosened on first use!

These needles were obviously defective from the start and were promptly returned. The day the set arrived, I knitted in one size for about 45 minutes and the point of the needle started to dangle - it was noticeably sliding back and forth along the shaft of the needle. The Karbonz needles feel nice and I wish they would work. It is a pity. A word of caution: if you buy Karbonz, I recommend trying each set right away. Since the needles here generally have very good reviews, I'm wondering if this

Very good not great

These are my first DPNs so I have no comparison but overall I really like them. I haven't had any issues with the needles slipping out of the loops, but the loops also move smoothly over the needles. I definitely prefer metal for circular needles because I like the stitches to slide very easily. I HATE bamboo for most knitting. I think these Karbonz are the perfect compromise between the two for DPNs that I don't want to be as slippery as my circular needles. not very even. It's not enough for…
