Something for everyone

Five Stars Veronica Avery! I bought this book used. I also give the bookseller five stars. I will be knitting diligently on this book for several months. The task will be to provide all the yarn! There are several creative templates to choose from; My favorites are the military jacket on page 68, the beaded warmers on page 78, the ski jacket on page 112, the warm scarf on page 86 and the layered skate top from page 116 onwards. Clever Classic

This book is currently out of print so I haven't knitted any patterns yet but I'm very happy with my purchase. There are some really thoughtful design elements in these patterns, and Avery has done a good job trying to find something for a variety of ages and lifestyles without deviating from the premise of the "classic style" name. Since I'm very thrifty when knitting books, I count anything that has at least three patterns I'm dying to knit as a steward, and that volume easily doubles. (My…

Important for my knitting library

This is the second copy of Avery's Knitting Classic Style book that I have purchased. The first copy was given to one of my knitting group members who took it from my knitting library and didn't want to part with it. Avery started out as a fashion designer and seamstress, and her knitting patterns reflect that.
