Lovely pattern book

I can't say I liked many of these designs aesthetically, but I've seen gifts for my mom and friends who love gardening. Great as a beginner section and a good conversation about the gauge. The patterns are not all easy but seem to be clearly explained with good instructions for the adventurous beginner.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Great designs

I bought three books by Cheryl Theis at the same time. Everything is perfect, with beautiful photos, great designs and clear instructions. I've learned: don't buy a knitting book unless I've done at least two projects. In each book I have marked the projects I will be doing - five or more in each book. I've already done one and it's great.

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Not automatic

Nature's Way to Knitting

Knitting by Nature contains some lovely patterns and is definitely worth adding to your knitting library. None of the patterns are intended for beginner knitters. I think you have to be an advanced knitter to be able to knit any of these patterns. My favorites are the following: Acorns is a shawl that looks like autumn in its orange and light green colourway. It is knitted from a combination of wool and silk and has tassels at the corners. Bleeding heart. I used to grow Bleeding Hearts in myโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only
