Cat Scratching Post Repair String

I used this to repair string that my wife's cat tore off a scratching post with its claws. Fixed with hot glue, it's like new and she loves to scratch. (cat, not woman!)

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Appearance

This is sisal.: Rope

I have a few cat scratching posts that have been made from sisal wrapped around a core of plastic and thick cardboard. The sisal was soon shredded, so I used it - plus strong staples - to recreate the shredded remains. So far this has worked well.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Good but not great

Good hardware product

While this is a great product the way it is wound just falls apart once you cut the binding. I tied down my cat's scratching post and it took a lot longer than it should because I had to coil the rope into a ball so I could control it. Just a little annoying.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

My cat loves it on the tarpaulin and the ratchet straps

My cat's scratching rope is loose. Instead of buying a new stand I just used a hot glue gun and glued this rope to my stand. It cost next to nothing compared to buying a new pole and I thought I did a lot better than a factory that attaches a rope to a pole. I will not use this rope for any other purpose.

Pros
  • Beautiful

Cat tower replacement

My wife and I have four cats, so scratching posts wear out quickly. Instead of replacing the last one, we decided to order a rope (wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo worse) and tighten it ourselves. A hundred feet would probably be too long and confusing, but I would expect a 50 foot piece to fit. It was easy to wrap and we stapled it fairly easily. Even if it only lasts a few months, it's worth the money.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Annoying

Used for cat scratching post

I bought this sisal rope to replace the rope on my cat's scratching post. The post itself was in excellent condition, so it made sense to save money by simply "replacing" the rope rather than replacing the entire post. After removing the old rope, I began wrapping this new rope around the base of the post and driving a nail through the end of the rope to the post to hold it in place. As I wrapped the rope around the pole, I made sure to pull and wrap the rope tightly and eliminate any gaps…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Long wait

I agree with other buyers

I bought this string for Doodle (my big black cat) and his destroyed scratching post. He loves to scratch anything and the cat post was no exception. It got to the point where he broke the rope in several places and started eating the rope. I wrapped and glued this rope around a (now bare) pole, smothered it with catnip, and my cat seems happy. Let's see if this stuff lasts longer than a month! Unfortunately, I also received a product with a strong chemical smell, which became less intense…

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

BAD FOR CATS! NOT ORDER!

This product is not "natural" as the title states. "Natural" only refers to the color, not the product itself, which is coated in some type of smelly, oily chemical compound thought to be toxic to cats. This type of rope is designed for industrial or agricultural purposes, so chemical treatments can make it more resilient, insect (pesticide) resistant, or otherwise suitable for such purposes. Koch Industries is in the oil and gas business, not the cat toy business. Look elsewhere for Revain…

Pros
  • Something above
Cons
  • Minor issues
