💧 KOHLER 77686 NA Aquifer Cartridge Water Filtration System Review

Easy to install. Can definitely taste the difference in our water. Almost completely removes the taste of chlorine. About 2 months is so good. Let's see how long this 1st set of filters lasts. I love the recycling feature that Kohler offers for old filters instead of just tossing them in the trash.

Very easy to install - fittings match our existing plumbing lines perfectly. The water consumption is indicated by an embossed text on the top of the device. This is the only filtering system I have found that has a very detailed performance sheet so you know what is being filtered out. I have contacted other US made filter manufacturers for details of this nature but to no avail. A filter cartridge recycling program is available. There are currently no defects to report.

I just wish I had done more research when purchasing a whole house filtration system. This is for a cold water faucet for drinking only! I bought this for my kitchen sink to filter both hot and cold water, but to my surprise this filter system only connects to a cold water tap. I had to follow my intuition to bring it back. learn life! And guess if you find you need new filters it lasted 4 months from March to July or maybe I have bad water? If you burn your hands, wash the dishes!

I love Kohler's simple line of products - the 1 or 2 filter model and the 2 filter model are 2 identical filters connected in parallel to reduce flow to increase. This makes a lot of sense compared to sacrificing the quality of your filters. I've used 1/4 turn cartridges in my fridge for years and love how easy they are to replace and don't leak. About five weeks ago we professionally installed this dual Kohler filter. After installation, the water flow through the faucet dropped from about 1.5 GPM to about 1.2 GPM (spec listed as 1.7). Since then, the flow has steadily declined. Now it's 0.5 gallons per minute. After checking for kinks and clogs, I called Kohler support.
