Type of review

May not fit your Kohler Rialto toilet. This is a CURRENT part from Kohler so the manufacturer assumes you are using it on their remanufactured square flush valve. However if you have an old original round drain valve it will not fit as the levers are too long and it cannot close the hole properly. Because of this, some Rialto reviews say it fits and others say it doesn't.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Legacy

This product is for newer Kohler one piece toilets

This is a genuine Kohler GP84995 replacement valve. The packaging says it's for some Kohler one-piece toilets like the San Raphael and Rialto. I have a Kohler San Raphael toilet that was purchased in the 1990's and this product does not match older toilets of the same name. I later learned that older (circa 1990's) San Raphael and Rialto Kohler toilets required a different closure. The correct faucet for old Kohler one-piece toilets like the San Rapael and Rialto is Kohler. GP83064.

  • Very good value for money

  • Not the best

Not Suitable: Toilet Parts

We bought a valve from a local store but it didn't fit. The toilet in this particular bathroom has been there since we bought the house almost 14 years ago. We always just went to the hardware store/household goods store and got the cracker when we needed it - no problem. Suddenly nothing works anymore. Have they replaced the shutters everywhere? So I checked the tank number, looked for a Kohler shock for our particular model and found this one. Literally on the back of the box is a photo of…

NOT COMPLETELY correct, however.

This didn't work on my San Raphael toilet right after I bought it. I've been trying to find the RIGHT fastener for a while since the previous one fell apart. I bought this after checking the Kohler website to make sure it was the correct replacement part AGAIN. It "fits", but not quite like the previous one. The tube didn't close completely, so I had to pull out the piece of styrofoam in the middle, place two glass "pebbles" (I had the ones I used in flower vases) inside the back of the clasp…

Kohler flaps work in Kohler toilets

We have 3 Kohler toilets in our house, they get a lot of use, over the years we have found that mainly Kohler (and Lavelle (Korky)) flaps were made specifically for valves , they are the only ones that work reliably, almost everything else is leaking. We usually have a useful life of more than 5 years. The local Home Depot and Lowes seem to be uneven about stocking this item, as do plumbing stores (they'll order it for you, of course), but I find the best approach is to just have a spare, and I

Thanks Revane and Google!

I have a Kohler toilet in my master bathroom which I inherited from the previous owner of the house when I bought my house 15 years ago and the water started flowing very slowly without a break. I decided to replace the damper but since Kohler is an expensive and proprietary brand that ignores all bathroom standards I couldn't find a single toilet damper that fits mine 😤 I actually bought 5 different dampers from local hardware stores but none of them fit like Kohler's. The flap was much…

> DOES THE JOB on toilet parts

STOP FIND ONE PIECE TOILET IN YOUR OLD KOHLER ONE PIECE 1>> Turn the screw in the top center of the locking mechanism 1/4 turn clockwise.> Repeat as needed, but do not rush to repeat. Give him a chance to act.> As a result, the water level in the tank will drop. I don't know why it reduces mileage. The toilet can function normally and start working for 6 months, which is fixed by 1/4 turn, then another year is normal. Sometimes it can take a full turn (in 1/4 turn increments over…
