The fastening system is terrible - you will never tighten it.

Trust the other bad reviews! I figured I could just be careful and get it working - and I kind of did, but I definitely regret the purchase. If you are still not convinced that this is an inferior product, then read on for the details. 1 - The plastic nuts at the bottom of the toilet are easy to unscrew. The toilet lid wasn't tight enough to hold it in place when one of mine fell off (as others have complained). I got around this by reusing mounting nuts from my old Kohler cover. 2 - On the top

Do not buy. Lasted 9 months and broke! WORST CHOICE! Broken at the flange. HAPPEN!

It just broke. The plastic cracked. DO NOT BUY! FIX: After 3 months I found that the screws were loose. It doesn't matter because they tighten easily, but I must have convinced people they were sealed in cement as I thought once I finished installing them. Not true! The screws on my old bolt were loose and plastic and not easy to put back on. They are much better designed, easy to install and I don't think these screws will come loose in the next 15 years due to the design of the screws andโ€ฆ

Simple lightweight decent quality seat - recommended

I'm fairly happy with most repairs. There are two toilets in my house, and I'm sick of the seat in one of them cracking (last straw). I installed one of these Kohler toilet seats a few weeks ago and paid over $30 for it at Home Desperate. When I saw it at Revain for a very low price, it was easy. Delivery was quick and installation was easy. All I needed was a medium sized screwdriver. However, the FIRST thing I did was attach the little diamond bumpers to the underside of the lid.
