I had a very disappointing and old car stereo in my old car almost for free. Even if I tried to play CDs it would eat them up and they would freeze. I was dying to get it out and try to fix it myself because I can't afford to go to a specialist and these tools were spot on! This is a good set for those on a tight budget. The tools that come with it feel like they have to endure and still do their job. There are some plastic tools that have a lip of about 1/8 inch, but in theory the plastic should prevent scratches or marks on the surface. I've found them to fit most places on my car and are practical. Anytime your cables have motor covers that need to be removed like in my case.
