This is a great tape measure with a finger brake on the bottom to either hold the tape for a quick measurement or to adjust the speed of the tape since it rewinds and the tape has almost 12 inches of tape sticking out as advertised, that's a big plus for honesty. This is a great tape for longer measurements. It will be a little heavy for everyday use. This is a good high performance band

If you are looking for a 40ft tape, this is it! The case is much smaller than the FATMAX and about $10 cheaper! The tape has markings on the back and a light-colored blade that makes it easy to see the dimensions. The best part is the finger opening so you can keep the strap pulled out without jamming and by re-sheathing the blade you can slow it down so you don't damage the blade. Excellent tape, happy with the purchase

This tape measure was nothing short of a disappointment. I had other cassettes by this brand that I liked, so I loved this one too. Reads easily and accurately, but not for long. I pulled my tape 14 feet ONCE and now it's not even coming back. The lock on top of the band is too hard to move with my thumb, damn it was hard for me to use my whole hand and I ended up being able to touch it on my desk to unlock it. The whole tape disappointed me so much that I sincerely regret spending $26 on this…
