as a present for a welder friend who used it to measure the distance between a tubular steel frame. After a little over a month, the retraction mechanism jammed. Too late to get a refund or replacement from Revain and in too used condition on site to be eligible for a Komelon warranty. The welder was very happy with it while it lasted. I think I have about 10 tape measures. I've never reviewed a roulette wheel before, but this one deserves a review. First, I like that the fractions are actually printed on the tape measure. I have people who sometimes help me with projects that a standard tape measure just can't read and this helps get accurate measurements. I also like the fact that I don't have to "lock" the tape measure to keep it in place. I thought it was genius to design the band to stay stretched and not retract until…

It's easy to keep in working condition - ignore the bad reviews

Reading this it's surrounded by other one star reviews complaining that the locking mechanism weakens over time and slowly begins to withdraw when it is always supposed to block. That's true, but there is a very simple solution. Lay it on its side with the screws facing up and remove all 3 screws including the one in the middle. The case splits completely into two pieces (if you held it normally the sides would fall apart, but leave it where it sits on your workbench) so remove the top of the…
