The old laptop I originally installed these DDR2 RAM modules in only sees a total of 3GB. So I installed a new 2GB + 1GB in each of the two laptops; both are now maxed out by 3GB. The increase in laptop speed isn't spectacular, but it's noticeable. FYI, the biggest and best improvement was going from the original HDD to an SSD running Linux Mint 20.1. Perfect!

If this was the last DDR2 RAM module on the planet I wouldn't be using it. This product is a scam. Mine arrived on time, thanks Revain. What didn't come in time was the speed. It ran slower than 2GB RAM. I noticed that this is not DDR2 800MHz RAM, it is 667MHz RAM. Also, it's just renamed Hynix RAM. This is complete plagiarism that someone once got away with. It's free! Runs SIGNIFICANTLY slower than the 3GB of RAM that was already in the PC. I was hoping this would help me with my CPU upgrade, but it only made things worse. AVOID! Computerby labels mean memory I would trust. I just upgraded an old Sony VAIO laptop (Intel chipset) that was salvaged on the way to recycling. The 64-bit operating systems I prefer can't do much with 2GB, I need more. That's what happened.
