The stainless steel tray is excellent but this is the SECOND U preserve jar I have bought which has had its plastic lid cracked within a few months of use. We don't have a dishwasher and we don't put them in the microwave. The breakage is simply due to you putting the cover on and removing it. This is simply unacceptable. As a result, I will no longer be buying U Konserve containers.

Small but great for us. Good and durable, unlike plastic. I can give my son a cut-off sandwich and about a cup of popcorn. If I omit the crusts I could probably add about 1/2 cup or a little more. The lid is tight, but is easy to remove and put back on. Like this article very much. The divider is loose but stays in place to divide the container in the right place. Or take it out without separating the container.

I love these containers for my student's everyday lunch. Over time, transparent surfaces will be varnished, but we have not had any problems with functionality. They separate the food well when it comes to dry food, although with fruit for example we need to add another round plate to keep it from spreading / spilling out into a sandwich for example. My biggest/only complaint is that they put 3 stickers on each new container which are incredibly difficult to remove; not really "hassle-free"…

This container would be perfect if the clear lid didn't start to crack at the edges during use. The liquid can now leak and affect the usefulness of this container. I have other U Konserve products with colored caps and they have lasted a very long time. The weakness has something to do with the clear plastic they use for the lid. I bought a 25 ounce rectangular container and used it about 4 times a week for 6 months. I liked the flexibility of the plastic divider, but ended up using my own silicone dividers to separate the food. Always hand washed and no part has ever gone in the dishwasher or microwave. Lid cracked after 6 months. I used it for another 2 weeks with tape over the crack but now the crack runs almost the entire length of the container so it cannot be used. Ideal for protecting items from crushing. Plenty of space for 1 sandwich and fruit or veg with divider. Our active kids use this for a sandwich and a half. I like the size as it easily fits in a medium sized cooler bag. My son used this for his daily lunch as well as an all purpose camping meal. I use these every day for my lunch at work, in addition to the U Konserve medium round containers. Easy to open. Easy to seal. And "almost" airtight unless you toss those things A LOT in your bag (lesson learned). As an added benefit, stainless steel holds the cold surprisingly well when left in the fridge overnight. Bought for lunch for my 6 year old. Love the divider and the clear top for easy identification. I've never had a mess and it's perfect for sandwiches and veggies or anything but liquid. The separator doesn't hold or separate liquid, so fruit or yogurt won't work here.
