Finally found one that fits my old gas bottles

This is the only one I've found that fits my old gas bottles with a 2 inch opening. The price is high. You can buy a new full gas bottle for that price, but new jerrycans with anti-spill devices are terrible.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Need a flexible nose!

Lid fits my old 2 inch spout. I had to "work" with the threads a bit to get everything to run smoothly. The hard, hard spout is terrible for filling anything but a car. If it had a flexible spout I would give it 5 stars. But at least my old glass was useful again.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Damaged

Closes but doesn't fit

I have several P50 Craftsman/Chilton plastic gas bottles that are described as fitting. The diameter is the same, the thread seems to be the same. None of them will mess with my bank. I was hoping to breathe life into my old jars, but that's not going to happen with this product. We'll send them back to Revain for a refund. I bought a product from another supplier that fits perfectly

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Didn't fit my Chilton P500 model.

Screw cap did not fit my Chilton P500. I was able to use the existing screw cap that came with the nozzle. It doesn't fit very well, but I was able to get it to work now. Also, the spout is not angled far enough, making it very difficult to pour a full can down the mower. I had to use a funnel which was inconvenient. Finally, the instructions state that this kit comes with 2 base caps. However, I only had 1. Maybe another one would fit.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

I probably won't buy again, maybe at half the price.

Well it saved my good EPA free fuel can but it definitely needs some work. The ring fits, the cap works too, the problem is the angle of the spout. As you can see in the second picture, at the moment the tip touches the filling hole, the can is already flowing in a horizontal position, it should be more vertical. See the third picture of the original fill nozzle. So that means the first few ounces of fuel are more likely to spill.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not the best
