Much better than plastic broom

use on wooden kitchen floor. Sheds a little but picks up dirt and dust better than any plastic brooms I've had. I added a small leather cord to the hole in the handle so I could take it off the hook under the sink.

upset. suitable for household items

Not satisfied with this product for the price. I had a 30 year old brush that needed to be replaced as the handle was cracked leaving a peg in place of a handle. This new brush lost more bristles in the first 3 days of use than the old one did in a year. This new brush is for external use only. upset.

  • Comfortable to use

and durable. The bristles are soft and combable.

I bought this for my project to restore my historic brickwork with lime mortar. The brush did its job well. Wooden handle, durable. The bristles are soft and clean the stones well. My only complaint is that he shed his hair on the brickwork, not much but enough to notice. Also, I only brushed about 120 feet and the bristles became curved and flat. I don't see how this can be used for a larger masonry project. However, he did what I needed.

Pros
  • Large selection

Not as shown - disappointing

This could also be a great brush. I don't know because I never took it out of its sealed plastic packaging. The brush is NOT the same as in the photo. The brush is only 1-1/2 inches wide. One look at what I received and what shows in the listing and you understand you didn't have enough change. It's a lot narrower than pictured. Of less concern is that the brush is only 13 inches long, NOT 15 inches as shown in the picture in the listing. It turned out to be the perfect brush, horsehair, noโ€ฆ

Baldness is good for household products

Based on the reviews on this product, I thought I found a good brush. Maybe I'm stupid. It's terrible. He sheds more than my golden retriever. I have never been so disappointed with a purchase in my life. He single-handedly ruined a project I'm working on. I use it to clean sawdust after sawing and before painting. It leaves hair my old eyes can't see until I run a roller over it. I'm constantly pulling hair out of the paint. I'm sure this brush will go bald within a year if I don't throw itโ€ฆ

Foxtail brush is good for household items

I lost my old one at work on gremlins while browsing hardware stores and big stores in the area. All I saw were cheap plastic foxtails. I wanted wood! Surprisingly (or not) hard to find a wooden foxtail, especially a well-made one. I don't care where it's made as long as it's made well (of course made in America doesn't mean it was there before, or maybe it matters). As pointed out by Thule1, Chinese brushes are poorly made, the bristles fall out, the wood has visible grain etc. The Kraftโ€ฆ

Well-made Horsehair Brush Counter Duster

1-29-13. It was hard to find a US made product of this nature but this is one of them. This brush seems well made by today's standards, bad as they are. That doesn't mean the brush is badly made, but it seems all the alternatives are Chinese and badly made. This power tool replaced a similar 50 year old brush that cost me $1.70. The old brush had a very smooth, rounded handle with the oak handle stamped with the maker's name and price. It still has plenty of bristles but after 50 years of useโ€ฆ
