They are 100% waterproof and went through my flip flops like a champ in an unexpected downpour! I was so glad to have them in my bag. Next time I'll remember to bring socks to soak up the condensation that has built up inside. They are very easy to clean with soap and warm water. I had to wipe them dry inside with paper towels after cleaning, they just didn't dry on their own in a day.

I love these shoe covers, I wear them in the garden and they help a lot. I have a few minor complaints about the straps that come with them, they can be adjusted and one side needs to be permanently attached to the shoe so you only have to worry about breaking one side and losing the whole piece and I would manage that too longer. I sprained my metatarsal and suffered a stress fracture. They put me in one of those big plastic boots. I bought size XL of this shoe cover and it's fantastic. I can go out in the rain and my boot doesn't get soggy. I can work in the garden without fear of my shoe carrying dirt all over my house (a phenomenon that happened quite a few times before they arrived and I still find dirt that needs vacuuming). I'm 5'11 and they (largest size available, XXL) are mid-calf. Don't lie down as this is more difficult. This soft thing slides down all the time. If it were 3-4 inches taller it would reach over the shins and not slide down when tied there. I can't help but slide down. To be honest I have no idea what people use them for, they just aren't big enough. Upgrade her to below knee height and I'll give her 4-5 stars.
