Be careful with this lock

I still use this lock although it can be opened with different keys. The wrench I use for this seems to work better and is my professional wrench for my pistol.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Good basic lock on bike locks

Nothing extraordinary - a simple lock on a string of lights. It won't stop bolt cutters, but at this size and price you knew that. It's nice that it comes with a quality chain case at a great price.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Only available in white

Too small and too light

I think I should have read the description more carefully, it is so small and thin. As other reviewers have said, it might be good for a helmet or accessory, but it's also good for just tying it to the bike with a string attached to the helmet, so it's so tiny.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • No

Thicker than I thought

Good quality, hence 4 stars. However, I misunderstood the product description. I needed a thin chain to secure my helmet: this chain has 4mm links, not 4mm overall. The product weight on the information page was also incorrect and misleading. This chain is too thick for my helmet and too thin for a bike. I will have to return it.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...

Too small and short

I wanted it to be able to go through the frame and tire and around anything I attach it to as well as be able to snap my helmet on throw, but it cannot go through tires and frames. It's definitely not a very big or thick chain and it was quite light just not long enough for what I wanted and if you want a very thick chain you might want to look at another product.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • All right

Versatile and easy to carry.

once you know what it is you will see how versatile and amazing it is. It's part of my "security system" (Here Pee Wee Herman). I live on a dirt road so this is perfect as a staple at the corner shop or vegetable stand. But less than 10 miles by bike from my country retreat is the Baltimore city limits. Metro stops (tram and buses and unsavory people) are even closer, so after a few kilometers my need for security changes drastically. And here comes the versatility, it instantly converts to aโ€ฆ

It's small and you can't lock it without a key.

I like that it definitely feels solid despite its size and is lighter for its size and I definitely like its color. My entire bike is pretty much straight black, so make it look really good with this orange bike lock. The downside is that it's small. So if you regularly visit areas that are pretty sketchy I don't recommend this. I also don't like that the key has to be with you when you lock it. I chose this one for the affordability, great shipping, and style, but if I could go back to what Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Security

Nice little lock for the price

Definitely not the most secure lock but folks it costs $15 - you can't expect security from Fort Knox for $15. Advantages: - very portable - light weight - more secure than cable locks. Disadvantages: - very thin chain - simple lock. I live in a fairly safe neighborhood, but bike theft is the most common crime in my town; I use this lock as a light and effective deterrent for temporary bans, such as when traveling with friends. It's long enough to fit two beach cruisers' frames and rear wheelsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Negative impression

Fits in my tool bottle!

I am using an old bottle instead of a saddlebag. It holds more things and is easier to detach and take with you. I usually don't need more than 1 bottle of water. I used to have a small cable lock with combination lock for luggage. That's not my main lock because I don't normally lock my bike. But sometimes you need a place to stop quickly, whether it's nature's call or you need to stop by a supermarket. Cables were never a good idea, but I didn't want to carry around a heavy padlock as I don't

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Some flaws
