Description of KSEIBI 4 1/2" Zirconia Corundum Flap Discs | Grit #60, 10Pack | Sanding & Grinding Wheels

Grind more smoothly than angle discs with less aggressive than angle discs it's the best choice for flat surface work when using it with an Angle Grinder. Premium Zirconia Grain, #60 Grit 4 1/2 Inch with max speed 13,300 RPM. Built for long-life premium abrasive that works well on stainless steel, hard steel, titanium and various others. A Zirconia Flap Disc continually produces new sharp points, creating faster cutting and a longer lifespan than aluminum oxide varieties. Flap Discs consist of sanding strips adhered to a strong fiberglass backing plate in an overlapping circluar pattern.

Great at first but wears out faster than I expected. Kind of bummed about that.

I was expecting more out of these. At first it works really great, 5 stars but, after about 8 to 9 feet of sanding you start to think your not using it right because the quality starts to diminish. I started to have to tilt it around and use a little more force. I'm not a profession with the flap disc but I have used a few. I think I'm just going to buy Diablo flap discs from now on.

  • The discs may cause splintering or cracking in certain types of wood or brittle materials

Work great! best in my review

Removed paint and rust like nothing I've gotten before did! These are of good quality and seem to last as good if not better than Home Creepo stuff. Thanks.JM

No markings on disc to indicate Grit value

The disc are not marked indicating the Grit value. I had to look up the part number and hand write on each disc the Grit # since I use different Grits. Not convenient

  • Perfect for buffing metal to a nice shiny finish

  • The discs are not universally applicable and may not be appropriate for all sanding or grinding tasks

Get what you pay for

Been using flap discs for the last 15 years and these have been the worst for longevity. Yes, they are about 3x less expensive than higher quality brands but don't last even a 1/3 as long. I've put them in a cabinet as emergency backup in case I run out of my preferred brand, otherwise I won't even use these.

  • The grit of #60 is relatively coarse, limiting the range of sanding and grinding applications

Worked great! - my new review

Used these guys to sand down 60 year-old-paint on my home and it worked like a charm. I used it on my makita angle grinder and it was dead-on when it was installed.

Pros
  • I used these for grinding a wood door jam, they took care of my needs great, in such a tight area.
Cons
  • The price of the KSEIBI Flap Discs can be quite expensive compared to similar competitive products

Works and last just as long

These are a great value. We are changing to these for our shop. Originally bought to try but are buying more as our go to product. I rated them as high as as I could for a flapper disk. I have never had any from any company I would rate 5 stars.

  • Work great and don't wear quick. Left a real nice finish on the steel I sanded on.

  • The abrasive zirconia corundum material can wear down and lose effectiveness quickly

Great for General Sanding/Grinding

These discs start out great, and can really remove the metal, scale or rust. They do seem to wear out more quickly; possibly due to the grit selection. Cleaning up some welds and scale on about some 3/4" Angle, and the wear starts to show up halfway into the job. I like them, but wish they lasted a little longer.

Good disks! - my new review

Originally received only one disk, but problem was corrected. Was apparently an Walmart fulfillment error, not an issue with the seller.who was very helpful.Disks work great!Thanks!
