The fit and overall quality of the hourglass is very good. Makes a great desktop accessory or gift. The tag says it was made in China and measures 5 x 10 1/4 inches. Some reviewers complained that the sand wasn't white. It is not. Anyway, mine is medium gray to taupe, maybe with a hint of purple.
