The pendant is stainless steel but the chain is not. The black "substance" poured out is uneven and can actually be seen as uneven and discolored like a blob. As a former jeweler (I just don't have the tools, and by maker I mean "smith" and manager) I plan to use acetone to remove the black stuff to remove it, and possibly reload it with a different enamel color . For the price it's ok. I've seen others on etsy that are better quality but smaller.

It's only been five days, but it's already showing signs of wear: the black part is being erased. I would refrain from buying this if you don't agree with it. Again only day 5 of continuous wear but still no signs of metal "bronzing" or skin turning green (attached pics are day one and day 5)

I just love this necklace! I haven't taken it off since I bought it! The delivery was very fast, I have another pendant on the same chain and although they are assembled it is still in perfect condition and very comfortable to wear, light and strong.
