A good size colander with very fine mesh, deep enough to handle a large load. Unfortunately, the handle where it connects to the strainer is thin, flat metal. For the first time, noodles fell asleep with a bent handle. Even partially filled with veggies, the handle flexes when "dipped" to drain the water, with every dive. The only way I would recommend is to put them in a pot with the edges of the pot supporting the handle and handle.

I first bought this to strain two batches of homemade soy milk at once. Works perfectly! I make soy yogurt from soy milk in a slow cooker. Once the time in the Instant Pot is up, I place a couple of commercial size coffee filters in this strainer and pour the yogurt through to sift the whey and make the yogurt more like thick Greek yogurt.
