Kurt Adler 10-Light 10-1/2-Inch Clear LED 8-Point Star Tree Topper Review

This is our first time decorating our Christmas tree with LED lights, so we wanted a Christmas tree topper with LED lights. Our Christmas tree LEDs are white. The LEDs on this treetop are BLUE. Not sure if they appear blue through the plastic or are actually blue, but we did NOT want that. We have always liked Kurt Adler's products in the past. We are very disappointed with this tree topper. It's going to be a blue, blue Christmas.

Image replaced with warm white LED lights to match the wood. Only 4 stars because it came with bright white (almost bluish) LED lights. Didn't fit my tree at all. My tree has warm white LEDs. Luckily, the old star had the same number of incandescent and LED bulbs of the same type, just warm white. The old star had a couple of bulbs which I thought were bad, but the bulbs work fine, the block was bad. The star now matches the tree after the change.

It looks blue in the photo but it is not actually blue. It's bright white. Not enough light. There were supposed to be 10 bulbs but I have 9. I thought one burned out on one of the short low points but the whole bulb is gone. I opened it up and moved one of the lights from a long low to a short. I then moved the bottom light up so there is only one light at the bottom long point. Still looks ok. I don't want to hassle with returns. I will continue to use it for my tree.

for less than 20 euros, I am very satisfied. All local stores only had glow stars for the same amount. The white LEDs match the white set I bought from Philips. After 2 years (not much time for LED bulbs) and only about 2 months of use, the LEDs burned out (literally smoke). The cables are undamaged and both fuses are not blown; now it works at all, after replacing 2 bad leds they also just burned out. Very disappointed to only see this in the last two Christmases. That was when it was nice…

When we switched to LEDs on our Christmas tree, the warm white light in our old star cylinder no longer fitted. I read some reviews that said this star didn't match the bright white LED strings that other people were using, but I ran out of options so figured I'd at least give it a try. Beautifully matched! , I was having trouble finding an acceptable star to match my cool white tree lights. I also hung a string of blue lights on my tree for accents. This topper does NOT glow blue but is definitely cool white and matches tree lights of that color. (For those less familiar, most tree lights are "warm white" or "clear" and noticeably more yellow than "cool white". Chances are you only have cool white lights if you bought them on purpose. .) very heavy and stiff enough to sit tight enough on the tree
