Cleaned brush from months old dried paint

Thing works. I should have added before and after photos but I was skeptical. I had latex paint on a Purdy brand brush that dried to a clean finish. Months passed, but I didn't want to throw away the expensive brush. I soaked the brush in it for 24 hours and used a wire comb to scrape off the paint. The brush is like new. This saved another brush I had, also of lower quality. I feel like you need to use a lot of brush cleaner, but putting the brushes in a deep but narrow container ensures all…

Does everything advertised.

I loved the brush conditioner I used before it was discontinued and was a bit reluctant to buy a large bottle of an untested product but I think this one is better and I'm glad I had to look for a new one. Washing the brush with it was a dream come true. I paint interiors and exteriors for hours applying paint and the line where the paint is highest on my brush can get quite sticky. With this "soap" it practically dissolved. I was a bit apprehensive about leaving a bit of this on my drybrush to

The thing really works!

I try to keep my brushes clean but I never get the paint off completely and only use latex paint that washes off with soap and water. This is particularly problematic with fast drying latex primers. I tried soaking a very shabby brush in vinegar for a week but it didn't work. I then soaked it in the Crood Cutter for a day or two, after which I was able to brush all the old paint off the bristles using a wire brush as a comb, holding the brush flat on the plastic tray. The liquid also turned an…

Not impressed yet

We usually clean our brushes pretty well when we're done, but they need the help of a good brush cleaner from time to time. I used another brand from a big store for about $9 a can, so I was very happy to see something cheaper. Unfortunately what we got is cheaper. After a day of painting I gave the brushes a thorough wash - a bucket of soap and hot water (repeat if needed) followed by a rinse. Then I hand wash them again using a small brass wire brush and dye comb to clean hard to reach areas.

Great, can bring brushes back from the dead

Love this material, does a great job cleaning brushes on a latex ribbon. I've let them sit for a while and now I finally have a reliable system that works fantastically. First wash off the paint with water, use a brush to really pull out most of the paint. Then dip into the first bath with this cutter, I let it soak for about 30 seconds, then transfer to another clean bath with a cutter, leave for a while, really as long as you like. Then rinse with water and dry. Sounds like a lot more work…

makes 18 potions from a quart

After 35 years, there's probably still some dried paint in the heels of my favorite brushes. I bought a liter of Krud Kutter because any dried paint will ruin a good brush. If I had a round jar big enough for my 4 inch brush, it would take me a quart to fill it to the top. I saw him advertise $14 a liter. It can cost more than a new brush. In the 1980's I made a box to saturate my 4 inch brush with some thinner. I used two thick nails as pins on the top of the plywood backing. They support the…
