Disaster first for groceries

My African boredom didn't bother her at first. A month went by and I told my wife if I know anyone who has a bird I will give it to them so it doesn't go to waste. I put five or six on her plate and she suddenly jumped on it. This is her favorite food now and I sincerely think she will try to chew through her cage to get to them if Zee lets her in front of her. Parrots are very wasteful, but I have found that if I place paper under their food plate, they will sink to the bottom of their cage…

My Yellow Naped Revain Loves Nutriberries Tropical Fruit

I should have given this product 5 stars as I promised my Revain, Bubba, even though I gave Value a 3 star. Those damn things cost $40. I think I remember a time when they were almost half the price. Anyway, my bubba ate these things like they were going out of style. Like an idiot, I fed her these berries for dinner. No wonder she wanted to play at 11:30 p.m. Then our avian vet suggested I use Nutriberries as a snack like he does with his parrots. Since then I have given it to her as a treat…

We tried them. HE LOVES HER!

Darnell our 1 year old sea green lovebird loves his Roudybush pellets and vegetable puree. We wanted to diversify it a bit on the days it's not being pureed (every other day). After we stopped spraying him with millet, we decided to stop giving him seeds. However, we felt a little guilty that we hadn't given him that pleasure. So we decided to try Nutri-Berries. He devoured her! So we give it in its granules every day and on mash days (remove after 1-2 hours on mash days). The berries had…

They look good on birds

I wanted to start feeding my 14 year old sun conure a variety of treats and decided to give this a try. He loves dried fruit, especially dried pineapple, so I figured he'd love these fruity treats. However, he just turned away in disgust when I held one out for him and was completely uninterested in them. if it were the most disgusting thing he had ever seen. I was upset because I was really looking forward to him enjoying it. I guess at 14 he's too stubborn to try new things? I can't return…

My parrot loved me. Now she loves to bite me.

When our gray parrot, Tinmeh, started feather plucking and developed a small infection at the base of the tail feathers, we took her to the vet for a check-up. He explained that she was probably bored because parrots in the wild spend about 90% of their time looking for food. When kept in captivity, they have a lot of free time and need to figure out what to do with themselves. Our vet wasn't entirely happy with the supposedly great parrot food we gave her, thinking maybe she wasn't thrilled…

Favorite food of all my parrots for over 10 years

My parrots have been enjoying Lafeber Nutri-Berries for over 10 years and this nutritious treat is a staple of their diet. I also participated in three different bird rescue programs during this time. This often resulted in displaced parrots being raised in anticipation of an 'eternal' home. Nutriberries have been widely accepted by all of the parrots in my care, although initially they sometimes refused to eat other foods and seeds. They have four favorite foods and I alternate between…
