I really like this pen.

Cleanliness as a value confuses me, I suppose it's a property of the ink. I believe the pen has a pretty clear little window to see the ink through. The medium point is a good starting width for calligraphy. It's subtle but noticeable. I really like the feel of this pen. I have fat fingers on a small hand and really like the weight and length of the pen when writing.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • No insurance

My favorite Lamy so far

This was my second Lamy purchase. First there was a fountain pen, honey. Tip For me it's a "wow" pen. I love writing with a calligraphy pen. It's not wide enough to make the lines wide enough to look like calligraphy, but wide enough to add style to the lines and swirls in the handwriting. My sketchbook with watercolor strokes. This is a fantastic elegant writing (drawing) tool.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

Lamy pulls the pen out of the parts

Plastic modern interpretation of the classic desk pen. I've never liked the ink window on Lamy pens as it only shows the top 10% of the ink cavity. The remaining 90% is between the pen tip and the ink window. The pen is made entirely of plastic and uses the same tip, feed, grip and cap as the Lamy Safari and Vista. The only difference is the barrel with a long tip, which, oddly enough, can be closed. Using the same parts as the cap is lazy and reduces costs. The handle is too long for the shirt

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • High price

A real pleasure to write!

I learned to write calligraphy with chisel points so this was a great discovery. The Lamy Joy Calligraphy Pen with 1.1mm core takes me back to the time when I started learning calligraphy. It's a smooth writing experience with no hiccups, bumps, burps. The pen is so smooth, the only thing that could be softer is a felt tip pen, but after using the lamΓ©, why resort to it? I like the triangular handle, it's easier to hold. The converter cartridge is very easy to use and the pen works great with…

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Damaged
