I used this to seal my Oklahoma Joe Smoker. For some reason I didn't have a tip so I had to use my fingers but I was able to apply it with no problem, when I finished the grave was empty. I've used my smoker half a dozen times since then and it's still like new.

Needed to seal a new smoker. After about 2 minutes the sealant started leaking out of the bottom of the tube making a huge mess. Didn't seal all spots as well as I wanted and ruined a pair of gloves. It's not that important, but at that moment it was enough to annoy me. However, he does what he says. I used this thing to fix a broken igniter bracket on my gas grill. I used this product for its adhesive properties. The ignition bracket on my gas grill is rusted and broken. Glue was the only easy solution. I've cleaned surfaces really well with a wire brush attached to my drill press. I then coated the entire plastic ignition socket with this material and pressed it against the carbon steel ignition bracket. Glue that was too close to the flame would flake off and be scraped off. Great Product! I used it to seal the air intakes on my ugly drum smoker to the drum, using U-bolts to hold the intake tube in place (assembly is similar to the Gateway drum smoker). I was considering using a JB-Weld but didn't want the air intakes permanently attached to the drum in case I wanted to replace the drum in the future. I bought this product to build a smoker and wanted everything to be well sealed. This product does a great job of sealing all the joints and really helps keep the heat and smoke in the smoker where it belongs. However, it should be noted. Use more than you think to seal two ports. You'll get some liquid, but you can wipe it off or wait for it to dry and trim off the excess with a razor blade. I bought an Orange Lava RTV 659 BBQ dealer because it was rated 650F. Black is rated at 450F. It was easy to use. I sprayed alcohol on the surface first, I had to apply sealant, wipe clean and wait 10 minutes. Application was easy and smooth except the base of the tip kept coming off.
