I am very satisfied with this product and the customer support from Schneider Labs. A parts per million test is included because it applies to things that shouldn't be consumed (like paint, soil, etc.) and doesn't need to be as accurate. I was pleasantly surprised that they also offer a much more accurate ppb test for consumable samples for a small additional charge of $25, so I decided to try some matcha green tea. Excellent product. I took a sample according to the instructions, sent it to the laboratory and received a detailed report 10 days later. The results were so helpful I bought 3 more kits, took more samples and got the results in a week. The results made sense - background levels of lead in soil some distance from our old lead-painted barn and huge levels (3,000ppm) right next to the barn under the peeling paint.
