Strongly built but be careful. Bolts are not present. They are not protected either. If you cross the thread, you're done. I screwed in three screws, and the third crossed the threads and came off the seat, but it didn't work. If you do it right and carefully, this is a great product.

Just received two of these and only sat in them once but they appear to be well made. They are on the flybridge and I started using armrest seats but switched to them because the large seats cramp the console. They are well padded but feel a bit firm. Time will tell but so far they look fantastic.

I ordered this seat for my dad's boat and the seat was so small. It wasn't at all what he had imagined. Also, try returning this seat and it costs $75 just to send the seat back. So when you order make sure it will work for whatever you use it for or you'll lose big bucks returning it.

It was delivered on time and in good condition but the picture was missing, the seat is very small for a captain's chair let alone a pontoon. Captain's Bucket I've never seen such a small helm seat on a big boat, plus it doesn't have armrests. I sent it back, maybe it's ok if you need to save space and weight on your boat, otherwise don't waste your money as you have to pay for return shipping.

This chair was great for the first three months, but then it started to discolour. The discoloration is a reddish color on the sides and seat which is very strange and looks awful. It looks like the pigment comes from the material inside the seat, but I don't know exactly how it was constructed. The boat (and seat) were stored in a garage and exposed to the sun for only a few months before fading. For the amount paid for the place I expected better quality.

I bought this captain's chair to replace one that was beginning to fail. This new one seems better made than the old chair but was a lot more difficult to install. I had to fiddle with threaded screws for a while to install it on my existing bar. After installation, I found that the backrest of this chair didn't provide the same level of back support as my old bucket seat. It's shorter. If you are my height (6ft - 1 inch) you may need a model with a higher back.

The seats are good and worth the price. They arrived early and in good condition. My only criticism is that I don't understand why the surface of the mounting bracket is about 1 inch above the mesh under the seat. This setup requires (in my opinion) stretching of the (not very stretchy) mesh to allow the mounting plate to make contact with the seat mounting surface, and requires shorter screws (than the ones provided) since they end at the bottom.
