LeapFrog LeapStart Preschool Activity Animals Review

Bought this for my grandson and he loves learning to read for himself and hearing how letters and words should sound. He is only 3 years old but hopefully he will be able to read by the time he starts kindergarten.

So it was very hard for me to pay the price I paid for it, my son got a Leapfrog reader from his great aunt for Christmas and there were no books included her, so in the end I just broke down and got her. My son has learned so much from them I am so happy he is enjoying it and it has taught him so much that Christmas will be on the next level.

Love these books and system for my 2 year old daughter. She is delighted with the new set we gave her. The only problem is that I bought the 4 book set and it arrived with two shapes and colors and no Scout & Math Friends. So basically it wasn't packaged properly at the factory, so I only got three new books. . I'm deducting one star for packaging errors, but other than that I'm very happy with the purchase.

I was in the shopping cart for a while and finally ordered. Didn't want to leave a review but they exceeded all expectations! Bought for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She only had a book on Mickey's races and a book on math for Boy Scouts and Friends. The Mickey book doesn't teach them much, but I'm very happy with these books. The Baby Animal Book is her favorite book! Once you install them, everything will go smoothly.

My 4 year old loves these books! He sits with his LeapPad for almost two hours at a time. The hardest part was loading the books. The instructions weren't very clear and I kept getting stuck trying to download them. Maybe it's not for Safari (Apple products) because it worked fine when I used a Dell computer. These books have been a real find since the orphanage opened. I am so thankful that my son can learn at his own pace and enjoy the process!

Good. I'll be honest if you don't have the patience this isn't for you as it requires a million steps to use the product easily. So you buy a Chehardfrog tablet and then you buy books, which are bloody expensive. Then you need to create an account and then download the book to your tablet. So many steps to use this. I'm sorry for those who don't have a computer. Overall it's good, but it should be easier. My kids love it and they are learning. Parents get ready.

These are great little gadgets for toddlers when they are at work. My 4 year old learned a lot from them! But - I ordered 4 packs of books and although 3 loaded fine, Alphabetical Adventure does not load. Uploading to the tablet is also a bit finicky - I tried restoring the device using the advanced settings first and then did a hard reset - I can only conclude that the problem is on the file servers side. Not worth returning the whole junk but I would only rate it at 1/2 the cost, $20 because…

I decided to buy some more books as my child was getting interested in his LeapStart books again. First time we were MANDATORY to create an online account and this is where I noticed that the cable that came with the device was wrong. I replaced another cable I had on hand and although we called customer service after trying to fix the problem ourselves we were never able to connect the books.
