Custom size, does not attach to the wall self-supporting. .

Custom size, will not stand on the wall. Installing a remake requires some drilling and creative skills. Otherwise this is the only box suitable for LEDENET touch panels.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home.
Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...

Not the best design - they work, there are no other options

They work for the controller, but the design is bad. There is no good option to mount in the wall for new or retrofit. Also, this is the exact size of the device, so it's difficult to close the hole in the wall.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some little things

Why no tabs or drywall hardware?

This box is well made and goes well with my LEDENET D1. There is no excuse for not including mounting screws. Also, there should be an option for legacy work/renovations using drywall strips. Unless you're building them into a new wall or cabinet, retrofitting them can be quite difficult.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Nothing

Required for some applications but terrible design

These are essential for some LED controllers and with strong filaments they are durable. However, they do NOT come with screws. The downside is that using them is a terrible design and there is no decorative panel in the design, so the edges around the controller are visible. I'm going to cut out some small overlays to trim mine, but I wish the controller had a different design. However, if you must have one - it's good value for money.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Frequency

Excellent box for electrical boxes, piping and fittings

Excellent box. Reviews said they hated it because it had to be cropped out perfectly to hide the gaps. In my case I had access to the back of the wall so I could cut a hole big enough for the back of the LED panel but smaller than the front of the box. There was a bracket on the panel that screwed into this box, so I put drywall between the bracket and the box. I also made a wooden spacer and attached the box to a nearby post for extra support. The LED panel snapped into the bracket and covered

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Creativity is the key! for junction boxes

We don't actually use these boxes in the US, but I had a DMX LED touchpad that needed it. Because the touchpad is poorly designed and exactly the same size as the box, it leaves no room for error of any kind. To make things easier, I ended up using a two-speed Lutron screwless plate and trimmed it. Looks good to me!

Pros
  • thread hole diameter: 4 mm/0.16 in; Hole center distance for threaded installation: 60mm/2.4in
Cons
  • Crumpled

Required for some applications but horrible design

These are required for some LED controllers and are made to last with strong threads. However, they do NOT come with screws. The downside is that using them is a terrible design and there is no decorative panel in the design, so the edges around the controller are visible. I'm going to cut out some small overlays to trim mine, but I wish the controller had a different design. However, if you must have one - it's good value for money.

Pros
  • Recessed drawer allows items such as furniture to be placed closer to the wall
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen

Great little electric box

Great little box Had in my case I had access to the back of the wall so I could cut a hole big enough for the back of the LED panel but smaller than the front of the box.The panel had a bracket that screwed into this box so I got it I wedged drywall between the bracket and the box I also made a wood spacer and attached the box to a nearby stud for extra support The LED panel snapped into the bracket and covered the edges perfectly No gaps Access to the back would be a rare occurrence…

Pros
  • Overall size: 86 x 86 x 40mm/3.4" x 3.4" x 1.6" (L*W*H)
Cons
  • Cable shorter than others
